Kerrie Urosevich, Ph.D.
Chief Executive Officer
Domestic Violence Action Center
We are pleased to begin the next chapter in DVAC’s history! The Domestic Violence Action Center (DVAC) announces Kerrie Urosevich, Ph.D., as the organization’s next Chief Executive Officer as DVAC recognizes 35 years of serving survivors and families in Hawaii statewide.
Kerrie brings more than 25 years of nonprofit executive leadership experience across public policy, peacebuilding, systems change, early childhood development, family violence prevention, and cross-sector collaboration. She is widely recognized for helping organizations and communities navigate complex challenges with clarity, courage, and care.
“Kerrie brings the clarity, compassion, and steady leadership needed to guide DVAC into its next chapter, with a deep commitment to supporting the advocates, attorneys, and staff who carry this mission every day,” said David Tumilowicz, DVAC Board Chair. “We are profoundly grateful to Interim CEO Laurie Tochiki, whose leadership strengthened DVAC’s foundations and prepared the organization for this transition. The Board of Directors is excited to work with Kerrie to advance DVAC’s lifesaving work and deepen our services for survivors and families across Hawaii.”
As Hawaii’s only organization solely dedicated to domestic violence, DVAC provides legal advocacy, survivor support, housing assistance, education, outreach, and systems advocacy for survivors and families statewide.
We meet survivors on their journey. We educate the community. We encourage youth to learn about healthy relationships. We speak to the press about this complex, costly problem. We work with our community allies to reform the system. We do what we can and what we must to bring hope and healing to this community. We do it with you. Please choose to make a gift to the community. Thank you for standing by us on this journey.
For over 30 years, the Domestic Violence Action Center has helped support women on their journey to safety. Each has a different story, faced with unique challenges.
Bravely, these women have offered to share their story – in their own words – to inspire those looking for help and hope.
