The Alaka’i Advocacy Program supports battered women as they navigate their way through complex systems ( courts, social service agencies, prosecutor’s office, police, schools, immigration, welfare, etc.) Advocates assist clients in obtaining the best responses from these systems, in order to achieve safety, relocation, and self-sufficiency. The advocates work closely with the legal staff to effectively and comprehensively manage each individual case.
