Outreach Supervisor

Goal

To supervise EXPO staff and provide responsive and efficient services to outreach clients at Family Court.

Minimum Qualifications 
Bachelor’s degree and 2 years supervisory experience working directly with clients; provide guidance to staff interfacing with victims, good problem-solving skills, effective written and oral communication skills, familiarity with community resources.

Desired Qualifications
Knowledge of feminist philosophy of violence against women and sophisticated understanding of dynamics of family violence. Willingness to work with court personnel and develop collaborative working relationships between legal and advocacy staff.   Ability to adapt to changing work environment and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

1.   Under the direction of Alakai Advocacy Manager, will train and mentor all new EXPO personnel.

2.   Provide daily supervision, day to day operations and consultation to all DVAC personnel providing EXPO outreach services.

3.   Involved with the recruitment, hiring, counseling, and termination of EXPO staff

4. Cover EXPO outreach shifts when necessary and do necessary follow-up work for the clients.

5.   Responsible for all EXPO troubleshooting that involves DVAC staff, and other personnel.

6. Provide Feedback for program development and program evaluation.

7. Track and submit all necessary statistics, including the QMRs for the program in a timely manner.

8. Work collaboratively with Alakai Advocacy Manager in the coordination of program initiatives and client services to ensure clients receive quality services.

9.   Work collaboratively with judicial personnel to make valuable contacts that will assist outreach clients.

10. Work with Alakai Advocacy Manager to conduct EXPO staff performance evaluations at six month and annually or on as needed basis thereafter.

11. Consider training needs and implement relevant training for EXPO Court Outreach staff.

12. Keep updated and current on the issues by attending four trainings or conferences per year relevant to the position and/or the agency’s work.

13. Participate in community meetings and represent the agency when necessary.

14. Participate in department meetings, staff meetings and other staff development programs.

15. Perform other duties as assigned.

16. Reports to the Alakai Advocacy Manager.
